Buying fragrance online
Concentration is the first thing to confirm. Eau de parfum, eau de toilette and body mist versions of the same scent are separate products with different prices and strengths, so compare per fluid ounce only within the same concentration.
Gift sets and testers can look like bargains. A gift set may include a smaller bottle plus lotion; a tester may arrive without a cap or box. Read the title and the listing photos before you buy.
Size labels on fragrance mix fluid ounces and milliliters. A 3.4 fl oz bottle is 100 ml, and a 1.7 fl oz bottle is 50 ml. Convert both to the same unit before comparing, and remember that the per-ounce price of a large bottle only helps if you will wear the scent often enough to finish it while it still smells right.
Body mists and splashes are lighter and cheaper by design. They are a reasonable everyday option, but they are not a substitute for the stronger concentration at the same price per ounce, so compare like with like.
